SAHIWAL – The federal government has opened a camp office in Sahiwal in a bid to expand the reach of social protection services, including BISP Kafalat.
Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, inaugurated the BISP Camp Office that will make the registration process easy for low-income families.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister stated that the Government of Pakistan has launched a series of integrated and targeted initiatives to uplift vulnerable communities.
He emphasized that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is fully committed to the welfare and economic well-being of the people, ensuring that all possible measures are taken to support low-income families.
Shah underscored that eliminating unemployment and enhancing public prosperity remain top government priorities. He noted that the Ministry, in collaboration with various welfare and development organizations, is working diligently to ease the lives of citizens and expand the reach of social protection services.
The federal minister reiterated that Pakistan is firmly on the path to progress and development, adding that those who anticipated an economic default have been disappointed.
BISP Kafalat Amount Update November 2025
BISP Kafalat initiative, which was launched in 2008, has emerged as the largest single cash transfer programme in Pakistan’s history. It has both short and long-term objectives.
The short term objective of the initiative is to protect marginalised people from negative effects of higher inflation, food crisis and poor economic growth.
The long term objective of program is to eradicate extreme and chronic poverty, along with women empowerment, as set out in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
BISP installments are released by the federal government four times a year, once every three months [January-March, April-June, July-September and October-December].
The quarterly amount of BISP Kafalat stands at Rs13,500 and it is expected to increase from January 2026.
