LAHORE – Lahoris and tourists have a reason to celebrate as construction work on the Ship Restaurant Project at Lahore Canal has officially commenced under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, led by PHA Lahore.
The project is scheduled to be completed within the current financial year.
These details were shared by Managing Director PHA Lahore, Raja Mansoor Ahmed, during his visit to the project site.
Director Finance Ahmed Saeed Manj and Director Engineering Usman Riaz also provided a detailed briefing.Raja Mansoor Ahmed stated that the construction work on the Lahore Canal Ship Restaurant Project has begun in full swing.
The canal depth is being increased from 7 feet to 13 feet, and its width expanded to 30 feet.
The project, aimed at providing a rich recreational experience for Lahoris, is being executed in consultation with NESPAK, while the Irrigation Department has also been brought on board.He further added that the Ship Restaurant project is a practical manifestation of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision.
All necessary machinery and workforce are on-site to ensure the project is safe, durable, and timely. The project is a flagship initiative of the Punjab Government and is receiving special focus for timely completion.
According to MD PHA, this three-story modern Ship Restaurant along the Lahore Canal will offer state-of-the-art recreational facilities and will have a seating capacity for up to 80 guests at a time.
The project will combine tourism and fine dining, making it a unique landmark in Lahore’s history while significantly enhancing the city’s beauty and tourist appeal.
