The gold price surged by Rs7,900, taking the new per tola rate in Pakistan to Rs431,562. The price of 10-gram gold hiked by Rs6,773 with new rate climbing to Rs369,994.

The upward trend in local market comes in line with rising prices international bullion market where per ounce recorded an increase of $79 to reach $4,092.
