KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed big increase on Thursday amid strong rally in international bullion market. The sharp upward movement pushed domestic gold rates higher after a decline recorded in the previous trading session.
On Thursday, the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs9,100, taking it to Rs428,736. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also registered a substantial increase, climbing Rs7,802 to reach Rs367,572.

In the global market, gold prices gained $91 per ounce, with the international rate reaching $4,063 per ounce, including a $20 premium. The rise in global prices was reflected in the local market, where gold rates are largely influenced by international trends and currency movements.
Silver prices also moved higher on Thursday. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs203, reaching Rs6,445, extending gains alongside the broader rally in precious metals.
