KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed another downturn on Friday, and per tola bullion stayed around Rs494,000 on May 8, 2026.
The price of gold per tola dropped by Rs2,700, bringing it down to Rs494,062, while the price of 10 grams of gold also fell by Rs2,315, settling at Rs423,578.

The dip comes a day after strong upward surge. On Thursday, gold had jumped by Rs7,800 per tola, reaching Rs496,762, highlighting the ongoing volatility in the bullion market.
Internationally, gold prices also slipped, falling by $27 to $4,717 per ounce, including a $20 premium. The global dip is seen as a key factor influencing local market movements in Pakistan.
Amid the downward trend in gold, silver moved in the opposite direction. The price of silver rose by Rs80 per tola, reaching Rs8,525 in the domestic market, adding another layer of mixed signals for precious metal traders.
