ISLAMABAD – Gold prices in Pakistan jumped higher on October 2, with domestic rates up by Rs2,000 per tola, taking the price to Rs440,636. The price of 10-gram gold also climbed by Rs1,715 to Rs377,774.

The latest increase followed a decline in the previous session. On Thursday, gold had dropped by Rs3,000 per tola to close at Rs438,636.
In international market, gold gained $20, reaching $4,181 per ounce, providing support to domestic prices. Meanwhile, silver also recorded an increase in Pakistan. Its price rose by Rs50 per tola to Rs6,578.
Gold Price Trends 2026
Despite the latest recovery, gold prices remain well below the exceptionally high levels recorded earlier this year. Gold witnessed a strong rally during the opening months of 2026. One market benchmark showed the precious metal reaching approximately Rs551,662 per tola on January 28, after crossing the Rs550,000 level.
The market experienced several fluctuations. Gold continued its upward movement during the first half of the year before retreating in July. Prices then staged another strong recovery in August, followed by a loss of momentum in September.
During September, the average gold price remained around Rs447,000 to Rs448,000 per tola.
The market witnessed its sharpest recent decline on September 28, when gold prices fell by Rs12,800 per tola in a single session. The 10-gram rate dropped by Rs10,973 on the same day. Gold prices declined by another Rs800 per tola on September 29, extending the correction.
