KARACHI – Gold rates witnessed surge in Pakistan on Thursday as price of 24-karat gold per tola moved up by Rs1,400, hitting Rs.274,000.
Data shared by Sarafa Association shows cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold climbed Rs1,200 to settle at Rs.234,911 from Rs.233,711. The price of 10-gram 22-karat gold also jumped rise, reaching Rs.215,335, up from Rs.214,235.

In contrast, silver prices remained stable, with per tola silver priced at Rs.3,350 and 10-gram silver at Rs.2,872.08.
On the global front, the price of gold increased by $14, moving from $2,614 to $2,628, reflecting gains in international markets.
