KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan posted another increase amid upward trend in the international bullion market.
On Thursday, the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs400 to Rs425,436, extending the gains recorded in the previous trading session. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs434, reaching Rs364,742.

The latest rise comes a day after gold prices surged by Rs900 per tola on Wednesday, when the precious metal settled at Rs425,036 in the local market.
The increase in domestic gold prices was in line with developments in the global market, where the international price of gold gained $4 to reach $4,030 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Meanwhile, silver prices moved in the opposite direction. The price of silver in the local market declined by Rs134 per tola, bringing the rate down to Rs6,155 per tola.
