CM’s Adviser on Environment Murtaza Wahab has said that global warming caused by deforestation is actually a global warning that warns us that if we still do not make our behaviour environmentally friendly, we will have to bear the brunt of it.

In a statement on Saturday, Wahab said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari himself is an environment lover so he attaches great importance to environmental improvement suggestions and projects.

Following his instructions, tree planting is being done everywhere in Sindh to make it lush green, he added.

In this regard, one million saplings have been planted in the Thar, which is our great achievement.

While in other areas also millions of saplings have been planted with the participation of local people and institutions while more are being planted.

“If we plant 50 million trees, the effects of global warming in our province can be greatly reduced,” the environmental adviser said.

Murtaza Wahab said a new trend had been introducedof observing the World Environment Day this year.

CM’s Adviser on Environment Murtaza Wahab added that the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) officials had visited the deep shores of Kemari a day ago and about 10 tons of rubbish was taken out in boats and taken to the landfill site, while the next day, a large amount of rubbish was removed from the water of Lake Keenjhar to make the people aware of the significance of cleaning their water sources.
