Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Friday inaugurated the modernised office complex of the Senate Secretariat at Parliament House, describing it as an important step towards institutional reform and administrative modernisation.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Secretary Senate Syed Hasnain Haider, senior Senate Secretariat officials and members of the project team.
Speaking on the occasion, Gilani said strong democratic institutions required modern systems, efficient infrastructure and a professional working environment.
He said the project was part of a broader reform agenda to improve institutional efficiency, strengthen service delivery and enhance the Secretariat’s ability to support Parliament in carrying out its constitutional responsibilities.
