ISLAMABAD – The German Embassy in Islamabad has announced the launch of online applications for family reunion visa through its Consular Services Portal.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the embassy highlighted that while the required documents remain unchanged, the portal currently lacks submission fields for all mandatory documents.
Applicants are encouraged to refer to the “Guide to Completing Your Application,” which can be found in slide two of the embassy’s post, for further details on additional required documents.
The embassy also clarified the process for applicants whose spouse or relative in Germany holds an EU passport, stating that such individuals should register on the embassy’s family reunion waiting list as per previous procedures. This group, under the Freedom of Movement Directive, will receive expedited appointments.
It added that all other applicants are directed to submit their applications via the Consular Services Portal.
The embassy emphasized the importance of submitting a complete application to avoid delays. Incomplete applications will not be processed, and submitting one will not result in a quicker appointment.
