Germany extends grant assistance of Euro 7.5m to Pakistan


The Government of Germany has extended grant assistance amounting to Euro 1.785m grant for Gilgit Baltistan and Euro 5.72 million grant for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (total Euro 7.5 million) to the Government of Pakistan through project namely “Social Health Protection, Phase-III.”

A signing ceremony in this regard was held in Ministry of Economic Affairs on Wednesday. The agreement was signed by Dr. Kazim Niaz, Secretary, EAD and Mr. Sebastian Jacobi, Country Director, German Development Bank in Islamabad.

The overall goal of this financial cooperation programme is to improve the health status of the population, especially the poor through providing safety net.
