General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI(M), Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee (CJCSC) visited POF Stall at IDEAS-2024 where he was briefed by Lt Gen Tahir Hameed Shah, HI(M), Chairman POF Board about ongoing weapons and ammunition development and future projects of POF in hand. JCSC was informed that POF and Turkiye’s Repkon Machine & Tools had signed a contract to enhance the ability to manufacture 155 mm artillery ammunition, thereby bolstering Pakistan’s defense capabilities. To improve the production capacity of 155 mm artillery ammunition, Wah Industries Limited (a POF subsidiary) strategically teamed with Repkon Machine & Tools Industry to execute a contract for the establishment of a state-of-the-art turnkey facility in Pakistan.
Senior Officers from both sides including Mr.Bilal Durdalı, Deputy Minister Turkiye, Lt. General Yaşar Kadıoğlu, TGS, attended the signing event.
