Provincial Minister for Local Government (LG) Mian Mehmood-ul-Rashid has said that the imported government was so afraid of PTI’s popularity that it was making repeated requests to postpone the by-elections because the surveys they were conducting were telling them the real story. He was addressing a press conference on Saturday at Agha Aslam Conference Room of DGPR.

He said that if PTI gets a majority in the by-elections to be held on Sunday (today), the federal government would have no choice but to call immediate elections on the demand of Imran Khan and the people. Mian Mehmood-ul-Rashid said that the whole world was watching how the PDM was running the government.

“These thieves and robbers are extricating themselves from corruption cases but pushing the common people into the mire of inflation.” he added.

LG Minister said that Rana Sanaullah had lost his mental balance after seeing the popularity of Imran Khan. “We are sorry that despite our desperate efforts, we could not punish the other accused in the Model Town case, including Rana Sanaullah, but now with a two-thirds majority, hopefully, we will bring this case to its logical conclusion and bring those responsible to the justice and maximum punishment.”

He said. The minister told the media that people along with PTI leaders were waiting for Imran Khan’s call for Long march after which they will flock to Islamabad in millions pushing Rana Sanaullah to have no place to hide.

Mian Mahmood-ul-Rashid said that the only solution to the current national crises was immediate and transparent elections in the country.

He warned, “The political situation in the country is moving towards a dire scenario which is very important to talk about.
