The Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) has rejected the local elections held across Sindh and has demanded re-elections across the province. While rejecting the election in the GDA meeting held at the Functional House, it has been said that with the collusion of the Sindh government and the Election Commission, both phases reject the Jhurlo election to be held on 26 June 2022 and 15 January 2023.

GDA will unite all democratic and pro-Sindh parties to protest against Sindh government’s fascism. For this purpose, the door of the court will also be knocked.

According to GDA spokesperson, Dr. Safdar Abbas, Zain Shah, Sardar Rahim, Member Provincial Assembly Nand Kumar Gokalani, Hasnain Mirza, Sardar Sadiq Khoso, Syed Shafqat Hussain Shah, Jagdish Ojha were present at the emergency meeting of GDA at Functional League House. , Khawaja Naveed Amin, Barrister Arshad Shar, Faisal Baloch and other leaders participated.

It was said in the meeting that the mandate of the people of Sindh has been stolen and the votes of the people of Sindh have been violated. It was the worst election in history.

Despite the videos of rigging going viral on social media, the Election Commission did not take any notice, which proves their involvement in rigging.

Concern was expressed in the meeting that the Sindh government had flouted the orders of the Supreme Court and held local body elections without amending the laws.

It was said in the meeting that transparent elections cannot be held in the presence of Zardari mafia. We cannot leave the future of the youth of Sindh in the hands of corrupt rulers. No one should think that Sindh can be divided by bringing double standards in the name of resistance because rigging has taken place in all the polling stations of Sindh and protests will also be done throughout Sindh.
