Country earned $138.891 million by exporting about 228,648 metric tons of fruits during first five months of current financial year as compared the exports of 213,411 metric tons valuing $153.681 million of corresponding period of last year.During the period from July-November, 2020-21, exports of fresh fruits from the country decreased by 9.62 percent as compared the exports of same period of last year, according the data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
Meanwhile, 175,475 metric tons of vegetables valuing $77.184 million also exported during the period under review as compared the exports of 276,691 metric tons worth of $82.034 million during same period of last year, it added. Over all food group exports from the country during month of November, 2020 increased by 2.59 percent as compared the exports of the corresponding months of last year as food commodities worth $408.719m.—APP
