Mehbooba Mufti led Peoples Democratic Party has expressed deep anguish over the frequent power cuts all over the occupied Kashmir Valley, stating that the excessive load shedding has crippled normal life in the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, PDP leader GhulamNabi Lone Hanjura in a statement in Srinagar said that Kashmir had been plunged into darkness due to the present power crisis.

He said, “Despite government’s big claims of improved and adequate power supply in the J&K, routine load shedding across the valley has crippled normal life. This has adversely affected business, education and patient care.”

Te PDP leader said patient care mostly those who are on ventilators too has been effected at large due to power crisis, adding that the power department despite having huge tariff hike for consumers has totally failed to provide adequate supply to consumers.

It worth mentioning that the ongoing worst power crisis in IIOJK has exposed the tall claims about development being made by the NarendraModi-led Indian government since the time it illegally revoked the special status of the territory in August 2019.—INP
