Free text books distributed among students

Deputy Commissioner Attock Imran Hamid Sheikh has said that Punjab Govt is making all out efforts to facilitate students studying in public sector schools.

He said this while distributing FTBs (Free Text Books) among heads of different govt schools. CEO Education Malik Mohsin Abbas and other officers were also present on the occasion.

DC Attock said that there was shortage of more than fifty five thousand FTBs and more than 38 thousand books were retrieved from the schools having surplus books while 17500 FTBs were demanded from Education Department Lahore on emergency basis and now all the books have been distributed among all the schools facing shortage of books.

He said that now there was no shortage of books rather books were in surplus now to meet future requirements.

CEO Education Mohsin Abbas Malik thanked DC Attock for taking timely action regarding shortage of books which resulted in provision of books to students who could not get FTBs at the time of start of academic years and said that this will certainly improve quality of education.
