Free air ambulance service launched in Sindh: Nasir

Provincial Ministers Syed NasirHussain Shah and SaeedGhani have expressed their pleasure at the launch of a free air ambulance service in Sindh. The agreement between the Sindh Local Council Association and aircraft company ASSL was celebrated at a signing ceremony, marking a significant step in providing essential services to the province’s residents.

During the ceremony, SaeedGhani highlighted that the new air ambulance service will facilitate the transfer of patients from remote areas such as Ghotki, Sukkur, and Khairpur to Karachi.

He emphasized that this initiative will help save valuable lives, especially when transporting patients to Karachi has previously been time-consuming. Provincial Minister NasirHussain Shah described the project as a realization of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision, calling it a crucial milestone for Sindh. He also mentioned plans to expand the service to Hyderabad, Thar, Nawabshah, and Larkana. Syed KamilHaider Shah, Chairman of the Sindh Local Council Association, stated that the service would aid in transferring patients from southern Punjab and northern Sindh to Karachi, playing a vital role in life-saving efforts.

Akbar Jafri, CEO of Aircraft Sales and Services, noted that the service will include all modern medical facilities, such as stretchers, ventilators, oxygen, and onboard medical staff. Following the signing ceremony, details regarding the operational start date of the air ambulance service will be announced.
