During a visit to frontline troops in the Line of Control’s (LoC) Rakhchikri sector, Chief of Army Staff Gen Syed Asim Munir categorically stated that armed forces are ever ready, not only to defend every inch of motherland but to take the fight back to enemy if ever war is imposed, adding any misconception resulting into a misadventure will always be met with full might with active support of the nation.
This is the first public statement of newly appointed Army Chief and it’s content very much shows traits and character that Syed Asim Munir possesses as a brave and honest soldier.
We have no doubt in saying that our armed forces have always risen to the occasion and under the dynamic leadership of new COAS, Pakistan Army will gain more strength and capabilities to thwart nefarious designs of our enemies.
Given the recent highly irresponsible statements emanating from Indian leadership regarding Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan, our Foreign Office was quick to promptly reject them as ridiculous yet response from army this time is also significant and sends a clear message to India to stay within its limits, otherwise consequences will be far serious.
At present a delusional mindset is prevailing in top civil and military ranks of India. Just a couple of months back, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated to make GB part of India while last week, India’s Lt Gen Upendrea Dwivedi while speaking in same context said that they are ready and will carry out any order given by Indian government.
This is nothing but day-dreaming, however this shows expansionist mindset of those sitting in New Delhi but they should not forget the lesson taught to them by our armed forces in most recent past.
The dogfight of February 2019 should be fresh in their minds and our forces have the capability to repeat that whenever challenged again.
They should not be mistaken that our armed forces backed by nation are always ready to deliver a bloody nose to them.
While international community should also take notice of Indian belligerence, we at the same time should pay special attention to check recent surge in terrorist acts.
We are confident that no effort will be spared to root out these foreign backed terrorist elements that off and on hurt our interests.
