The district administration is taking tangible measures for providing compensation to flood-affected people across the district. According to data shared by the Bank of Khyber (BoP), Rs. 10.56 million have been paid to 42 more families the other day. Out of these beneficiary families, 26 have been paid Rs 160,000 each while 16 families were given Rs 400,000 each.
The Bank officials said that the process of payment to the remaining eligible flood-hit families was underway. The administration directed the bank officials to ensure timely payments of relief funds to help the victims as soon as possible and added that the provincial government and the district administration had taken effective measures to carry out the task in a transparent and peaceful manner.
