PISHIN – At least five labourers were killed and another was injured when unidentified terrorists opened fire on workers engaged in road construction in the Saranan Bazaar area of Balochistan’s Pishin district on Tuesday.
The officials said that the attackers also targeted construction machinery at the site, causing damage before fleeing the area.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the attack and expressed grief over the loss of lives.
He said innocent Pakistanis had once again been targeted by terrorists. The chief minister noted that the labourers were working to provide for their families while contributing to the development and progress of the country and the province.
He directed the relevant authorities to take necessary measures and vowed that terrorism would not be allowed to disrupt peace and development in Balochistan.
