LAHORE – At least five people are injured after a fire erupted at the Indigo Heights Hotel in Lahore on Saturday.
Rescue officials immediately responded to the incident and managed to evacuate 180 people from the hotel. All injured have been shifted to the hospital with one of them is said to be in critical condition.
They confirmed that no any person is currently present inside the building, adding that the fire is being contained.
Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Zaman and Lahore deputy commissioner are present on the spot to monitor the rescue operations.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has appreciated the rescue officials for their swift response and saving the lives.
