Five dead, in Sheikhupura road mishaps

At least five people died and 17 others including women were injured in separate road accidents in different areas of Sheikhupura on Monday, police said. According to details, the first accident took place at Faisalabad Road in Bhikhi Town of Sheikhupura where a car, truck and passenger bus collided with each other.
Five people died on the spot in the accident while 12 others sustained injured. District Police Officer (DPO) Rana Ijaz Ahmad along with Rescue 1122 team reached the scene and started rescue operation.
Meanwhile, five women were injured when a qingqi rickshaw heading to Sheikhupura city from Farooqabad over turned near Jhamkey town of the district. The bodies and injured of both accidents were shifted to different hospitals of respective areas. The police after registering separate cases into both incidents at concerned police stations have started investigation.—INP
