First system competitions were organized by the School Education Department at Tehsil Council Jinnah Hall Jhang in line with the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Shahid Abbas Joya, Advisor to Chief Minister Nawab Faisal Hayat Jabboana and MPA Mehr Sultan Sikandar Bharwana graced the occasion as special guests while CEO Education Naseem Ahmad Zahid, DEO Secondary Khalid Mahmood, DE Women Abida Maqbool, DDO Secondary Ramzan Chaudhry, teachers, students, parents, social personalities and a large number of citizens were present on the occasion.
Presentations were made on the topics of Energy, Agriculture, Environment, Virus, Mathematics, Geometry, Area and Volume and Astronomy. Addressing the function, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Shahid Abbas Joya said that the first system competitions were aimed at exploring and adding to the creative and constructive abilities of the students.
He said that the Punjab government has been taking practical steps for the promotion of science, technology and engineering.
He said that education is the only way to create awareness among the people as knowledge is a jewel, which is not the heritage of anyone but the fundamental right of every human being. In this regard, a comprehensive program of revolutionary reforms is being implemented in the education sector.
In his address, advisor to Punjab CM Nawab Faisal Hayat Jabboana said that all the developed nations made progress due to development in technology and science.
The invention of modern technology has changed our lives in a way that could not have been imagined. It is the young generation that has made the country. By serving, it can open new avenues of development in the country.
The advisor to CM further said that the Punjab government has made the promotion of education its top priority. Expressing his views on the occasion, MPA Mehr Sultan Sikandar Bharwana said that education is the only way to tackle issues like poverty, unemployment and ignorance.
“We would have to provide as many technology education opportunities as possible to the younger generation to take the country forward”, he said, adding that the government has been striving to equip the youth with quality education.
Earlier, CEO Education Naseem Ahmad Zahid apprised the students about the aims and objectives of the first system competitions on behalf of the school education department and the first system campaign with a view to honing creative and constructive abilities of the students. He termed the competition as a good initiative of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
