Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon has stated that significant progress in containing the fire that erupted on the Margalla Hills. Memon stated that the fire near Gandian village, behind Faisal Masjid, has been brought under control, while efforts are underway toextinguish the blaze near Kanijal village, close to Naval Headquarters.
Despite challenges, including the spread of fire in Kinsala village, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Islamabad administration remains vigilant in its firefighting efforts.
Rescue teams are actively combating flames, even at the location of the stupa, where a fire has ignited.
