RAWALPINDI – Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir made it clear that Pakistan’s campaign against Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan will continue until every terror network and its facilitators are dismantled, while reaffirming that lasting peace in Balochistan remains a national priority.
Addressing participants of 20th National Workshop Balochistan at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Asim Munir declared that Pakistan’s campaign against terrorism will continue without pause, vowing to eliminate Fitna al Khawarij, Fitna al Hindustan and all their facilitators as the country intensifies efforts to secure lasting peace in Balochistan.
He said intelligence-led and targeted operations against terrorist groups would continue with full force until every militant network and support structure posing a threat to Pakistan is dismantled. Reaffirming the country’s security doctrine, the Field Marshal said Pakistan would act decisively against terrorist infrastructure wherever it threatens national security or the lives of its citizens.
Army Chief accused foreign-sponsored proxy groups of attempting to fuel violence, undermine stability and disrupt peace in Balochistan, but maintained that such efforts would fail in the face of the Armed Forces’ determination and the unity of the Pakistani nation.
Calling Balochistan the pride of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir said the province’s vast natural resources and resilient, patriotic people represent one of the country’s greatest strengths. He highlighted ongoing federal and provincial development initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, expanding economic opportunities and accelerating socio-economic progress through an inclusive, people-focused approach.
He also praised the contributions of civil society, academia, the media and the youth in promoting national integration and supporting Balochistan’s long-term peace and prosperity. Stressing that national unity remains Pakistan’s greatest strength, he urged collective perseverance to overcome emerging challenges and shape a secure and prosperous future.
