RIYADH – Top military commanders of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye held an urgent meeting in Riyadh under the Makkah Alliance. The high-level talks brought together Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir, Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu and Saudi Chief of General Staff Gen. Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili.
The meeting comes at a sensitive moment for the region, with security tensions escalating and Houthi forces, also known as Ansarallah, continuing attacks against Saudi Arabia amid the ongoing conflict in Yemen.
The participation of the three countries’ military chiefs marks a significant high-level engagement under the Makkah Alliance, bringing the defence leadership of Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia together in Riyadh.
The urgent meeting is expected to focus on the evolving regional security situation and developments linked to the attacks targeting Saudi Arabia.
The gathering also highlights the growing military coordination among the three alliance members as regional tensions continue to unfold.
