AMMAN – Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held high-profile meeting with King of Jordan Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, during his official visit. Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II also joined the historic discussions.
Both sides discussed deepening defense and security cooperation, sharing expertise, and strengthening joint strategies in the region. Islamabad and Amman called for closer military collaboration to tackle shared security challenges.
Two sides also sealed agreement to enhance military ties, including advanced training programs for Jordanian forces and large-scale joint military exercises, major boost to bilateral defense relations.
Jordanian Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff hailed the “deep-rooted” ties between the two armies and reaffirmed a strong commitment to expanding military cooperation. Plans for educational programs, joint training, and operational exercises were also highlighted to further strengthen the defense capabilities of both countries.
Field Marshal Asim Munir lauded Jordan’s pivotal role in regional security and international peace efforts, praising the wise leadership of King Abdullah II and the exceptional professionalism of the Jordanian Armed Forces. The meeting was also attended by Pakistan’s ambassador to Amman, the military attaché, and senior officials, signaling a powerful new chapter in Pakistan-Jordan defense relations.
