Feel lucky to be part of ILT20, says Waqar Younis

DUBAI – Former Pakistan Captain and legendary fast bowler Waqar Younis lauded the escalating popularity of the Internatuojal League T20 (ILT20) within the Gulf region.

“I’m lucky that I’m part of ILT20,” said Waqar Younis in a recent interview.

He commended the league’s progress, highlighted the advancements of the UAE team, and reflected on the influential presence of renowned players in the tournament.

Waqar Younis also shared his experiences within the league, expressing gratitude for those who supported him.

He also mentioned its novelty and the high standard of cricket it showcased.

“I had a great time, especially when the cricket standard was high,” he said.

“I’m confident about improving cricket standards,” said Waqar Younis.

He was also happy over the burgeoning fan base with each passing season.

The ILT20 continued to ascend in popularity, even in its nascent stages.

It may be mentioned here that former Pakistani fast bowlers including Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, as well as international players like Simon Doull, Venkatesh Prasad, and Harbhajan Singh contribute to the league’s allure and competitive edge.
