The faculty and non-teaching staff of Federal Urdu University Karachi campuses (Abdul Haq and Gulshan) have announced a suspension of teaching and office work, alongside a boycott.

Abdul Haq Campus General Secretary Roshan Ali, Gulshan Iqbal Campus General Secretary Sheikh KashifRifat, and Gulshan Iqbal Campus President of Non-Teaching Staff Adnan Akhtar expressed their concerns regarding orders issued by the Vice Chancellor to retract the salary increase implemented in July.

They stated that faculty and staff are already facing mental stress and difficulties due to the non-payment of salaries and housing allowances. In such circumstances, issuing these orders is a blatant injustice to the employees. Roshan Ali, Sheikh KashifRifat, and Adnan Akhtar emphasized that the situation has become unbearable, prompting all associations to announce a complete boycott of teaching and office activities starting Thursday.
