The Federal Committee on Agriculture will meet here on Wednesday to review the output of Kharif crops and fix the production targets for the Rabi crops season 2020-21.
The high-powered meeting would be held under the chairmanship of Minister for National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam and discuss the ways and means to ensure food safety and security in the country, said an official in Ministry of National Food Security and Research. Talking to APP, he said that meeting would discuss in detail about the issues and challenges being faced by the local agriculture sector and suggest immediate remedial measures to enhance per-acre crop output to meet with the growing needs of food as well as to exports. –APP
