Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman strongly condemned Israeli attack on the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem during the holy month of Ramazan.
In a statement, Fazl urged Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and rulers of Muslim countries to raise their voice against Israeli oppression and barbarism at the global level.
He further said Israel is a terrorist country and its brutalities have engulfed almost the entire Islamic world.
He said the Muslim Ummah would never accept the Israeli illegal occupation on Palestine. He further said that JUI-F would continue its support of Palestinian brothers.
Israel braced for more protests Saturday after clashes at Jerusalem’s flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque compound wounded more than 200 people and as the US, EU and regional powers urged calm after days of escalating violence.
In the unrest following Muslim prayers on Friday, Israeli riot police fired rubber bullets, tear gas and stun grenades at Palestinians who hurled rocks, bottles and fireworks at Islam’s third-holiest site.—APP
