Dr Farooq Sattar, Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Privatization, visited the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) on Saturday. His visit was marked by a warm reception and a significant address, reflecting on the pivotal role of privatization in Pakistan’s economic landscape. During his visit, Dr. Sattar emphasized the importance of privatization as a strategic component of economic policy. He acknowledged the potential of privatization to drive growth, enhance efficiency, and attract both domestic and international investments. However, he underscored the necessity for a careful and thoughtful approach to ensure that the benefits are equitably distributed among all stakeholders, including the private sector, the government, and the general populace.

The FPCCI extended welcome to Dr. Sattar, recognizing his visit as a valuable opportunity for constructive dialogue. In his address, the FPCCI representative highlighted the organization’s commitment to collaborating with the government and relevant bodies to advance the privatization process.

They stressed the need for a robust partnership between the public and private sectors to ensure a balanced and sustainable strategy. The meeting provided a platform for exchanging ideas, discussing concerns, and exploring collaborative opportunities. The FPCCI expressed hope that the discussions would lead to a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with privatization and contribute to creating a more prosperous Pakistan.
