FAO, Livestock Deptt set up free camps

Provincial Minister for Livestock and Dairy Development Mitha Khan Kakar has said that Livestock after agriculture is an important sector of the rural economy. Zhob valley’s pasture land extends hundreds of kilometers and there is a huge potential. In order to improve the livestock breed, the provincial government and the Livestock department are striving to develop and put the sector on modern lines.

He expressed these views while, inaugurating the three-day free veterinary camp in a mountainous area of the district, where the veterinary team vaccinated thousands of animals against various diseases. Supervised by Deputy Director Dr. Naseebullah Kakar, the camp was set up by the Livestock department while supported by Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations. The deputy director told this scribe that on the special directives of provincial minister Livestock.
