In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the families of three youth, who were martyred in a fake encounter by Indian troops, have demanded of the authorities to hand them the dead bodies of the victims so that they can give them proper burial.
Indian troops martyred three youth, Abrar Gujjar, Imtiaz Gujjar and Abrar Khan, residents of Rajouri district of Jammu region, in a fake encounter in Shopian district on July 18 this year.
The Indian Army had accused the three youth of being mujahideen, but they were ordinary Kashmiri youths who were in Shopian as labourers.
The families of the missing youth said that 28 days had passed but DNA reports of their loved ones had not been received yet and delaying tactics were being taken in this regard. “Even if the Indian authorities investigate for years, they could not prove our innocent sons to be militants,” said Muhammad Yousuf, the father of Abrar Ahmed.
He said that he had approached the SSP of Rajouri regarding DNA reports and the SSP asked him to wait till Monday, September 14. If the reports were not brought to light on that day, the relatives of the three missing youth along with other people will march towards Shopian and go to the place where their loved ones remain buried, he warned.—KMS
