Fakhar Zaman shined as Lahore Qalandars posted a decent target of 176 runs on the scoreboard against Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) opener at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Monday.
Put to bat first, the defending champions Qalandars managed to score176 runs in 20 overs, thanks to Fakhar’s 66 runs off 42 balls.
The left-handed batter completed his 2000 runs in the PSL. Young opening batter Tahir Baig scored 36 runs off 26 balls before getting out to Akeal Hossain. Mohammad Rizwan is leading Multan, meanwhile Shaheen Afridi is in charge of the defending champions Qalandars.
