Fake’ honey manufacturing unit sealed

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) raided and sealed a fake honey manufacturing unit here in the metropolis on Sunday.

Director General PFA, Mudasir Riaz said that on a tip-off, the authority raided a unit in Badami Bagh area of Lahore where fake honey was being prepared at filthy location through open colours and chemicals.

The raiding PFA team took into custody 550 bottles fake honey, buckets and machinery from the unit.

DG PFA said that demand of honey has increased with drop in temperature and the food authority has kept a watch on fraudsters who could take advantage of the situation.
