Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas and Human Resource Development, Makhdoom Syed Tariq Mahmood Ul Hassan has said that on the directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan, one window operation facility will be launched in Islamabad within 30 days where all services and facilities will be available under one roof to the overseas Pakistanis.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision and first priority is to solve the problems of overseas Pakistanis for which a comprehensive policy is also being formulated.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting with OPC officers at Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission here on Friday.
The meeting was also attended by Commissioner OPC Syed Khadim Abbas, Director General Ishrat ullah Khan Niazi, Director Police Imtiaz Ahmed, Director Admin Tanveer Majid, Director Legal Raja Zubair, Director Revenue Muhammad Aslam Ramey, Deputy Director Revenue Zulfiqar Bhoon and other dealing officers.
Makhdoom Syed Tariq Mahmood Ul Hassan said that under the guidance of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar, revolutionary measures were taken and all facilities provided under one roof to overseas Pakistanis in the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission for a period of three months which has brought a lot of relief to overseas Pakistanis.
He further said that overseas Pakistanis have got the right to vote during the present rule of Prime Minister Imran Khan on which overseas Pakistanis are very happy and the government is taking serious steps in this regard so that overseas Pakistanis can join the national mainstream by casting their vote in the next elections.
The SAPM said that Overseas Pakistanis are our most valuable asset who have been of great help to our dear country during the difficult times of Pakistan including floods, Covid-19 and heavenly calamities.
Expressing his commitment, Tariq Mahmood said that he would do his utmost to make the liaison between the federal and provincial agencies more effective and efficient for better service of 9 million overseas Pakistanis living in 160 countries of the world.
