An excise police team Friday recovered 20kg hashish and arrested accused Shafiqul Rehman, a resident of Kohat district.
The excise police team of Ubauro, led by Excise Inspector and Narcotics Control Aamir Khan Kalwar searched a suspicious truck No. 1588-C at Kamu Shaheed locality, recovered 20kg hashish and arrested accused Shafiqul Rehman, a resident of Kohat district.
The accused was transporting hashish from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Karachi.
The investigation was underway against the accused while the truck used in the incident was impounded.
Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation and Counter Narcotics & Parliamentary Affairs, has congratulated Ubauro Excise Police on successful operation and hoped that they would continue to perform their duties with the same spirit.
