ISLAMABAD – The Excise and Taxation Department in the federal capital has launched various facilities to make the process for registration of cars more easy and hassle-free.
As per new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), an owner of a vehicle can skip the personal visit to the excise office for registration as he/she can nominate another person by issuing a authority letter to him or through biometric verification.
It is mandatory for the nominated person to take the biometric verification while collecting the registration card of cars and other vehicles on behalf of the owner.
The new system will help people save from agent mafia as now they can authorise any person from their family or friends for the registration process.
Furthermore, the Islamabad excise department has also unveiled doorstep services, allowing the citizens of the capital city to get their vehicles registered or transferred at the ease of home or office.
Online Excise Registration for Cars
The department also offers online services for the registration of vehicles. They are required to take a challan for government fees from the online channel.
