Approves construction of emergency towers in Services and Jinnah hospitals

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday declared that the era of exhibitory projects and hollow slogans is all but over, saying that the past rulers, who did nothing but merely paid lip-service to public issues, have become a part of history.
“The incumbent government is engaged in work during the last three years and the unprecedented public work bearing testimony to this fact.”
Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was talking with provincial ministers including Asad Khokhar, Muhammad Asif Nakai, Shaukat Lalika, MNAs – Raja Riaz Ahmed and Rai Murtaza Iqbal, MPA Mamoon Tarar and former district Nazim Sahiwal Rai Hassan Nawaz who called the CM. They apprised the chief minister of the problems being faced by the public in their constituencies.
While issuing directions for the resolution of constituency-related problems, the CM recapitulated that his doors are open to people and the parliamentarians.
The policy of ensuring composite development will pave the way for balanced development across the province, he said and added that parliamentarians were fully consulted to devise district development packages.
The government is giving the right of development back to remote areas as it is the right of every district, he maintained and affirmed that the development of every district has been ensured during the last three years.
Similarly, the politics of revenge is not the agenda of the PTI government as it does not believe in it. The government has worked in accordance with the principles of justice, law and merit to diligently serve the masses, he repeated.
The parliamentarians appreciated the policy of composite development as it will remove deprivations.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar approved the construction of emergency towers at Services and Jinnah hospitals to provide modern healthcare facilities to patients.
While chairing a meeting at his office, which was attended by Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, the health secretary, CEO IDAP and others, the CM directed to take steps for completion of both the projects in a minimum period of time.
The meeting also considered a proposal regarding construction of a cancer hospital in Taunsa. The CM termed the universal health coverage program an inventive initiative to provide quality healthcare facilities for free to the masses.
The past government neglected far-flung areas while the PTI-led government has been providing best medical facilities to the people at their doorsteps”, he asserted and directed to expedite work on mother and child hospitals.
Meanwhile, on directives Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department has removed Dr Mohsin Jawad Siddiqui from the post of MS Services Hospital, Lahore and asked him to report to the health department immediately.
This was stated by Secretary Specialized Healthcare Department Sara Aslam here. She said that Dr Mohsin Jawad Siddiqui has been transferred on the basis of poor performance exhibited in the hospital.
Sara Aslam said that Dr Ehteshamul Haq, MS Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has been transferred and posted as Principal Medical Officer in Services Hospital and assigned him additional charge of MS Services Hospital. The Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department has issued notification in this regard.
