Momentum and Thardeep organized two day event to highlight the issues of women living in remote areas of Pakistan and the hardship they are facing. Momentum and Thardeep are of the view if these women are provided proper guidance and education they can utilize their energies effectively and efficiently for the development of community and nation.
Momentum Private Limited is a Consulting firm on Research and Development of the social sector service delivery. Momentum is the Lead partner for implementation of Adult Literacy and Numeracy Skills Project in the two districts of Jamshoro and Dadu of Sindh.
Challenges and Solutions in the field of Literacy and Non formal education were discussed in detail. Iqbal ur Rehman Sharif shared that among 64 Million illiterates, two third are females and around three million children are out of school.
The issue is big and out of box solutions are required, only Public Sector alone, the whole community and the stakeholders should jointly work for the eradication of illiteracy. Flexible strategies are required to overcome the challenges of education. Government should instruct the business community to allocate all it’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to Education Sector. —PR
