Around 300 eldely lady teachers working on deputation under wedlock in different schools of the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) for past many years , on Monday appealed to the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former Prime Minister, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Speaker National Assembly Raja Parvez Ashraf to help them trace their bill.

Their ‘Protection of Family Life’ bill was passed by the Parliament two months ago but then it went missing and could not be sent to President for signing, the final step that would ensure their permanent absorption in Islamabad’s schools.

At present they continue to face threat of being repatriated to their parent departments back to Punjab, Sindh, KP, Balochistan, GB or AJK and FDE has even issued them show cause and notices of disciplinary action.

At present, they are running from pillar to post but interim government, it seems has disowned them and no one is interested in resolving this issue.
