Punjab Agriculture Minister, Syed Hussain Jahanian Gardezi has said that Pakistan is blessed with talented youth and no nation can progress without educated, skilled & trained youth.
He urged academia to educate and equip the youth with new emerging skills and said that the government is actively working to provide youth with modern skills.
Minister for Agriculture Punjab stated this while addressing at the inauguration ceremonies of Green Campus under the Prime Minister’s plan to plant billions of trees across the country and the launch of various certificates and diploma programs related to modern agricultural machinery, which were held at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) sub-campus Khushab, here on Monday.
On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Qamar uz Zaman, Vice Chancellor, PMAS-AAUR, Dr. Ali Abdullah Shah, Administrator Sub Campus Khushab, Deans and Directors of various departments of the University and dignitaries of Khushab District were also present.
The Punjab Minister for Agriculture appreciated the efforts of PMAS-AAUR for starting Livestock Assistant Diploma and Diploma Program in Modern Agricultural Engineering for the development of mechanized agriculture.
He said that such initiatives are not only urgently needed in the agriculture of the province but can also play a key role in stabilizing the national economy by providing opportunities for economic self-sufficiency to the youth through skilled education.
