The Election Commission of Pakistan has stopped releasing the final result of NA-64 Gujrat constituency after receiving a request from Qaisara Elahi, the runner-up candidate.

The ECP has summoned Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the winner of the election, on February 15 to explain his position.

The ECP has also issued a written order to the returning officer of NA-64 Gujrat to prepare Form 47, which contains the consolidated statement of results, in the presence of Qaisara Elahi or her lawyer.

The ECP has directed the District Police Officer of Gujrat to ensure that no obstruction is created for Form 47.

The returning officer has been asked to reply to the ECP within three days and to listen to the concerns of Qaisara Elahi and redress them.

The ECP has taken this action after Qaisara Elahi alleged that there were irregularities and rigging and that Form 47 was not prepared properly.
