PIA has lost hope of lifting ban by European Air Safety Agency (EASA) refuses to allow flights without civil aviation safety audit. According to aviation sources, the European Civil Aviation Authority has responded to the PIA’s letter. PIA had sought permission from the European Air Safety Agency for interim flights. EASA has refused to allow PIA its operation without a civil aviation safety audit.
The improvement in the Civil Aviation Authority’s matters is not insight soon. As a result, PIA flights to Europe and the UK will remain banned. It is reported that the PIA has also received a reply from the European Union Air Safety Agency.
It may be recalled that the International Civil Aviation Organization had also issued a warning that the national airline PIA would have to ensure the issuance of its pilots’ licenses under international standards. If the license issue is not resolved, 188 countries may ban the operation of national carrier.
Already on the issue of license scandal, PIA is not allowed to conduct air operations in the UK and EU countries.
