Earthquake jolts parts of Pakistan including Islamabad

Tremors were felt in several parts of the country including Islamabad and Peshawar on Thursday as a result of an earthquake.

As the earthquake hit the country, people took to social media to ask others if they have felt the tremors too.

According to National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the earthquake of magnitude 4.4 hit 25 kilometres southeast of Mingora in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and had a depth of 20km.

Earlier this year, an earthquake of magnitude 6.4 struck northern areas of the country, including Islamabad and several cities in Punjab and KP.
