Dry weather likely

Islamabad—Mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country in next 24 hours.
Continental air would prevail our most parts of country during next 2 to 3 days while a westerly wave is still affecting extreme northern parts of the country and likely to move northeast-ward during next 12 hours, an official of Met office told APP. In last 24 hours rain-thundershower occurred at scattered places in Malakand, Hazara divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Rainfall recorded during this time span remained Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in Pattan 17 mm, Kalam 06 mm, Balakot 04 mm, Malamjabba 01 mm while in Gilgit Baltistan, Astore 07 mm, Gupis, Bagrote 05 mm, Bunji 03 mm, Skardu 02 mm and Gilgit 01 mm. Highest temperatures recorded on Sunday were Turbat 38øC, Chhor 37øC, Karachi 36 øC, Hyderabad 33 øC and Lahore 30 øC. Pollen count was 11061 per m3 of air during this time period.
Meanwhile, the Karachi Met Office on Sunday forecast fair/partly cloudy weather for Karachi during the next 24 hours.
An official of the Met Office said here that the maximum temperature is expected to remain between 33 to 35 degrees Centigrade and minimum between 22 to 24 degrees centigrade during the period. The minimum temperature recorded on Sunday was 21.5 degrees centigrade and maximum was 35.6 degrees centigrade.
Humidity was 70 per cent in the morning and 21 per cent in the evening.—APP
