Top officials of the Driven Local Development (CDLD) Program handed over personal protective items, personal protective equipment (PPEs) and other items to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. Commissioner Malakand Riaz Khan Mehsud and Commissioner Hazara Syed Zaheer-ul-Islam received the consignment of medical supplies on behalf of the government here on Wednesday.
The aim and objective of these things is to make ensure full protection to the doctors, paramedic staff, nursing staff who are fighting against Coronavirus at the frontline, a official of the CFLD told media men here. He said the Personal Protective Items each batch of PPEs consisted including N95 masks, protective gloves, goggles, protective clothing and other protective equipment for medical personnel.
The government officials on this occasion said in the current situation, the corona virus has caused a lot of dangers and difficulties to the medical staff. Their safety is the first responsibility of the government. He added that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government thanked for personal help in providing PPEs to the medical staff of the province so that they could carry out their professional responsibilities without fear or favor.
CDLD Program Team Leader Nadeem Bashir commented that the use of PPEs, a personal protective device, would protect medical personnel from the dangers posed by the corona virus, which would help prevent the spread of the virus. And through joint efforts, the corona virus outbreak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be brought under control.
CDLD is increasingly seen works closely with the target district authorities through its field including in the present situation in Pakistan and worldwide due to COVID19 besides target district including Chitral, Lower Dir, Malakand, Shangla, Swat and Upper Dir and are closely linked with the Deputy Commissioner, its management body.
It is worth mentioning here that Community Driven Local Development (CDLD) is a four-year budgetary support program meant to bring social and structural improvements in six districts of the Malakand Division, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The CDLD program is continuously working closely with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to eradicate the corona virus. The CDLD program provided Rs. 6.2 million in the form of PPEs and other personal protective items of the provincial government.
